An underground drug lab was found 12 feet under a shed in a California man’s backyard, police said.
Authorities tracked down anonymous information about a illegal cultivation of marijuana is possible since November when they entered the home of a 37-year-old man on Wednesday, December 21, according to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department.
Police said hallucinogenic mushrooms were growing in a shed in the backyard. They also discovered a bunker that was about 12 feet underground.
According to the police, inside the bunker was a laboratory for the extraction of DMT (hallucinogenic drug) and THC.
Authorities searched the rest of the man’s possessions and found handguns, shotguns, 8 pounds of methamphetamine, 3.6 pounds of marijuana, 8 liters of GHB, an ounce of heroin, 25 DMT pills and other drugs, police said.
The man was arrested and faces charges of manufacturing controlled substances. His bail was set at $75,000.
