An Alpharetta man died Saturday night after a one-vehicle crash in Forsyth County.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and Fire Department responded to the crash at the Chattahoochee River Club subdivision around 11:15 p.m.

James Allen, 30, of Alpharetta, had just entered the subdivision and was driving on River Club Drive. Alena did not manage to pass the bend in the road and crashed into a tree.

Allen was pronounced dead at the scene, but his passenger survived with serious injuries. The passenger was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

The Forsyth County Traffic Specialist Unit continues to investigate the crash.
