Kiwi, who won the race, is set to lead the BJR squad this seasonreplacing Nick Perkato at number 8 in the 2022 Supercar season.
It’s kind of a comeback for Heimgartner, who was drafted as a last-minute enduro racer in 2017 for the injured Ash Walsh.
It helped rebuild a career that had stoppedHeimgartner will join Kelly Racing next season for four years.
Heimgartner will not only take over the Percat number for Walkinshaw for the 2022 season, but will also transfer major support from R&J Batteries.

Team owner Brad Jones welcomed both his new driver and continued relationship with R&J Batteries to the team.
