Inside this New York home for sale is a puzzle. “It was unexpected”

The phrase “you never know what’s going on in a house” has never rung so true — at least when it comes to this particular dud in the North Woodmere, New York, real estate market.

outside, residence with six bedrooms and five bathrooms — which costs $3.999 million — attracts with elegant arches, a terrace and emerald green landscaping. But inside? Well, inside is a completely different world.

“Unique beyond, very artistic,” the listing on Zillow.com describes. “Designed by a famous interior designer. The house was demolished and rebuilt.”

Really artistic.

Photos show the ever-changing interior looks almost like a pop art installation, with lime green walls, chrome countertops and Beetlejuice-esque cabinets.

The charismatic house attracted attention Zillow Gone Wildthe property’s popular social media Facebook page and Twitter account, and fans weren’t really sure how to react when they saw the interior.

“It made me anxious,” said one man. “It looks like a 1960s steel warehouse has thrown out its contents.”

“There are no words for this…” wrote another.

“So elegant on the outside. Walk inside and boom – arcade,” someone commented.

“Well, that was… unexpected,” said one man. “For some reason I can’t explain… I don’t hate it. I mean. I don’t like it. But I don’t hate it. And yet, every rational cell in my body tells me I should. I don’t understand what’s going on.”

“I didn’t know Nickelodeon had an interior design department,” joked another.

“I hate it. But I love it,” someone said.

“I love it. I love chaos,” one person tweeted.
