A moose left a rare gift in an Alaskan homeowner’s yard — and it was caught on their Ring doorbell camera.

In the clip, you can see how the moose walks into the frame and freezes, as if noticing something in the distance. He stays like that for 30 seconds or so before turning his head and shaking his head and body – and his antlers fall into the snow.

At the same time, he got scared and ran away.

Tyra Bogert posted the video on Facebook and TikTok on Friday, December 16.A moose is shedding its antlers in my house!” she wrote.

Several people noted that he left them as a Christmas present. One asked Bagert if she lived at the North Pole, and she said she lived about five hours south of it.

“He said Merry Christmas!” someone wrote.

“What a gift!” – said another.

Many wondered if Bogert had kept the horns and said they wanted to see them. Bogert posted another video of her husband heading out into the snow to retrieve them and showing them off to the Ring camera.

“We were both shocked,” she told McClatchy News in a Facebook post. “This is a once-in-a-lifetime video and such a cool Christmas present. I don’t think anyone just finds a pair of horns like that.”

They plan to install them on one of their 30-foot walls, she said.

Moose shed their antlers every year as part of the breeding cycle, according to the Yukon Wildlife Sanctuary.
