The Supercross track was insidious at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, killing two riders on a pedestal in the top five with 26 laps early in the evening in the main event of the seventh round The series of the AMA Monster Energy Supercross Championship 2022. Jason Anderson became the winner in the second round in a row, although he led only in the last two rounds.

From lap 11 to 21 the top five riders rode in a parade, with Chase Sexton followed by Anderson, Malcolm Stewart, first race leader Cooper Webb and Marvin Moskvin. However, on lap 22 Stewart lost the front when he landed on a 90-degree right-hander, skipping Webb and Maskin, dropping Stewart to P5.

After three laps, leader Sexton suffered a hard high side, leaving for a 180-degree left-hander shortly before the end of time. This raised everyone to one position, and Justin Barcia entered the top 5, and Muscovite – on the podium.

Sexton failed to continue, finishing in P16 after leading 17 of 26 laps. It was Maskin’s first podium this year and Webb’s first podium since the start in Anaheim.

Anderson becomes the first rider to win three rounds in 2022, and he moves within three points of series leader Eli Tomak. Tomak started out of the top 10 and dropped to the P20 after teammate on the back Dylan Ferrandis when Ferandis jumped on the second lap. Tomak was able to return to P6 and retain the lead in the Monster Energy Supercross Championship 2022 series.

Stewart continued the series with six consecutive finishes in the top 5 and moved to P3 in the standings, trailing Anderson by 17 points. Stewart is closely followed by Barça, Webb and Sexton

The series resumes next Saturday from the 8th round at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington. Check out ours Supercross TV schedule so you don’t miss the gate.
