2023 Beta Xtrainer First Look [8 Fast Facts For Trail Riding]



Despite a major makeover last year, the hiking-friendly Beta Xtrainer will get plenty of updates this year. Let’s take a closer look at the XTrainer 2023 beta and find out what’s new.

  1. This is a new subframe. The narrower design is modeled after the subframe on the Beta RR racing models.
  1. The new air box is located in the new subframe. In accordance with Beta versionair flow increases.

  1. There’s a new tank that holds an extra nine ounces of fuel. The new tank is not wider. The tank plastic is now translucent, allowing the rider to monitor the fuel level without removing the gas cap.
  1. With a new subframe and seats comes new plastic. The side panels are new, as are the radiator shrouds. The side panels now have integrated license plates and just one fastener. The middle mount for tank-mounted shrouds is located behind the perimeter frame, not in front of it. The graphics are now RR inspired.

  1. The battery is now lithium-ion. The beta version says that this year’s lithium-ion battery is lighter and more powerful.
  1. The 292cc single-stroke engine returns. It has electric start (kickstart optional), oil injection, power valve, and a six-speed transmission with adjustable hydraulic diaphragm-style clutch. There are also two feeding modes – wet and dry.

  1. The Ollé R16V suspension is back. There is 10.6 inches of travel at both ends, resulting in an achievable seat height of 35.8 inches. The Ole suspension assemblies are fully adjustable, keep the compression damping in the fork.
  1. Xtrainer 2023 beta has broken the $8k price barrier. MSRP is up $300 to $8,299. Look for the updated Xtrainer at Beta dealers in November.
