A suspect in a couple of attacks in the WeHo area this week was arrested Thursday by Los Angeles police.
The suspect, passing a black man in his 30s, was recorded on CCTV footage when a woman was forced into a garage before attempting to rape her Tuesday around 12:30 pm on the 800th block of Vista Ave. She broke free, and the suspect fled the scene. Twenty minutes later, a man pushed another woman into her apartment about 7,600 blocks of Hampton Avenue in West Hollywood. She shouted, attracting the attention of neighbors, and the attacker fled.
Law enforcement issued a public safety warning before his capture.
West Hollywood Station and the Los Angeles Police Department want the community to know about the offensive transition.
Today, Feb. 15, 2022, at approximately 1 p.m., an adult woman was walking on block 800 on N. Vista Street in Los Angeles. A man, black, fast, 30 years old, in dark clothes and with a bag, pushed the woman into the garage. The woman-victim was able to quickly get away from the suspect man. About 15-20 minutes into the 7600 Hampton Avenue neighborhood in West Hollywood, a black man, past the 1930s, in dark clothes with a bag, pushed an adult woman into her apartment. The victim shouted, and the suspect man ran out. This is preliminary information.
