According to the JSO, the fatal crash temporarily stopped San Juan and Kassat Avenue

Jacksonville, Florida – One person died in an accident at the intersection of San Juan Avenue and Kassat Avenue.

At about 2:15 the SUV was driving west on San Juan Avenue, while the sedan was driving south on Kassat Avenue when they collided at an intersection. After the collision, the SUV crashed into a store at the southwest corner of the intersection.

The driver of the SUV died at the scene, and two passengers of the sedan with non-life-threatening injuries were taken to a local hospital.

An investigation is underway to find out the cause of the accident. The lanes of San Juan Avenue and Kassat Avenue will be temporarily closed until about 7 p.m.
