Preview of the game TCU vs. Baylor
Why TCU wins
Baylor was able to fight Texas Tech for a while, but he was unable to withstand the pace of the 83-73 defeat in the first game after losing Jonathan Chamwa Chatchaw due to injury.
The TCU may not have much firepower to attack, and it may not be Texas Tech in defense, but it dominates the boards perfectly – it leads the Big 12 in rebounds – and perfectly maintains a low score.
Make it a battle in the low 60s, make it a free throw competition – Baylor isn’t very good – and shoot a little better than it was in the 76-64 Bears ’defeat in the first meeting last year in early January.
But…
Why Baylor wins
Baylor was able to roll back in the second half in the first meeting and eventually won easily, while Chamwa Chachev did not do much.
Baylor may be incredibly inconsistent, but overall he does a great job at home, and he has an outside kick to take him over without worrying about that bit of running away from TCU.
Horned Frogs don’t do any of the three, and even if they do – like against Texas Tech a few days ago – it still doesn’t usually matter.

What will happen
Baylor is just good on the boards.
Maybe the defense fought against Texas Tech, but it won’t let TCU do anything outside, there won’t be enough lost rebounds to make too much of a difference, and there will be more than enough thefts and big defenses played to overcome the rocky parts.
