Bob Saget’s family has filed a lawsuit to block the release of records related to the death of the comedian

Jacksonville, Florida – The family of Bob Saget, who was found dead in January in a hotel room in Orlando, asked the judge to prohibit the authorities from publishing additional records of the comedian’s death, according to several news agencies.

The lawsuit alleges that Sage’s family “will suffer irreparable damage in the form of extreme emotional pain, anguish and mental anguish” if further details of the investigation are published. “No legitimate public interest will be served as a result of the publication or distribution of records to the public.”

Saget was found dead on January 9th in a Florida hotel room. The night before, he performed in the area as part of a stand-up tour.

Toxicological analysis did not detect any illicit drugs or toxins in Sage’s body, said forensic expert Joshua Stephanie of Orlando.

An an autopsy report was published later showed that Saget had abrasions on his head, a fracture at the base of the skull, fractures around his eyelids, bleeding between the brain and the tissue covering the brain, and bruises to the brain. According to the report, Sagett was positive for COVID-19, but had no inflammation in the respiratory system.

“His injuries were most likely the result of an invisible fall,” the statement said. “The way of death is an accident.”
