The team of a global infrastructure technology company Broadcom recently announced the general availability of Broadcom Clarity 16.0.1 for local and SaaS users. With this release, the Clarity Product Team offers customers several new features.
This update introduces a visual resource staff in the form of a distribution schedule that shows an investment schedule using the Investment Allocation or Resource Allocation layouts at the top of the page and capacity, distribution, and other capacity using resource availability or role-based resources at the bottom.
In addition, customizable visual widgets have been added to several functional areas, including investment, sub-objects, planning and workspaces. Thanks to this, users can also create widgets and be able to share them in the library.
This release also brings a deeper level of focus to improving the project management user experience. This includes the ability to display financial and user performance for the period in networks of projects, ideas and custom investments and investment hierarchies. Additional metrics for the period include actual capital expenditures, actual operating costs, projected capital expenditures, projected operating costs, and more.
It also brings new Clarity connections, including Clarity-Rally integration with additional non-code tools to create new Clarity investments with Rally and synchronize Rally searches between Clarity Roadmap elements and related investments.
Several improvements have been introduced as part of Broadcom’s Customer Innovation Panel process. These include:
- Improved investment status reports
- Powerful roadmap capabilities, including the ability to customize visual indicators
- Improved field-level security controls for the Task and Time record object
- Ability to perform automatic scheduling or create an approximate schedule from the project task schedule
- Added the ability to translate Blueprint channels, sections and action titles into other languages
The release also offers users several different UX quality of life improvements, such as a new task management workspace; the ability to display the goals of the roadmap in Timeline, Board and Grid views using customizable widgets; improving the staff module with user action to perform the distribution of estimates; and more.
