Eat your Valentine chocolate carefully

Jacksonville, Florida – If you received a box of chocolates for Valentine’s Day, you may worry that you will eat too much sweet.

We received advice from a Cleveland Clinic psychologist on how much we can eat without guilt – and how to follow the plan.

“We have a lot of conflicting feelings about chocolate,” said psychologist Dr. Susan Albers. “On the one hand, we love it and crave it, but on the other hand, we often feel a great sense of guilt and anxiety because of chocolate consumption.”

Dr. Albers said the key to eating chocolate is care. She recommends eating it slowly and really trying to relish every bite. It’s also important not to overdo it – it can be appealing.

Okay, what does that mean?

Experts say you should eat no more than one ounce a day. And if you have dark chocolate – a bonus! It is known to have some health benefits, such as lowering blood pressure and increasing dopamine and endorphins, which can create a mood-boosting effect.

You can also melt this chocolate and then dip the strawberries … Dr. Albers said they are full of antioxidants and vitamin C.
