The End Zone Game of the Week is scheduled for Friday, December 2nd at 7:30pm at McConnell-Talbert Stadium.
WARNER ROBBINS, Ga. (41NBC/WMGT) — After defeating Creekside 31-28 in overtime, the Warner Robins Demons advanced to the Final Four of the GHSA 5A State Playoffs, which determines the End Zone Game of the Week between the Demons and Cartersville.
The Demons will be playing for a chance at a sixth straight state title, but hopes were slim earlier this year as they started the season 1-4.
Since then, Warner Robins has won eight straight games, so head coach Marquis Westbrook talked about the changes that have taken place to get his team back to a winning standard.
“It was just our mindset, both for the coaches and the players. In August and September, expectations were very low and we had no hope of being where we are now. But our kids and our coaches stayed the course. They fought, they clawed, and now we’re here,” Westbrook said.
