FORT VALLEY, Ga. (41NBC/WMGT) — The grand marshal for the 2022 homecoming parade has been named after Fort Valley State University.
FVSU announces that world-renowned plastic surgeon and FVSU graduate Dr. Wright Jones will be the grand marshal for the upcoming parade on October 1st at 9 a.m. in downtown Fort Valley.
Jones works as a surgeon in the Atlanta community and is the owner and founder of Muse Plastic Surgery. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology from FVSU and later earned his medical degree from Meharry College of Medicine, completed his general surgery residency in Las Vegas and was board certified in plastic surgery. Jones also has experience as chief resident in general surgery at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and completed a 3-year residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Emory University School of Medicine.
Jones has also provided free reconstructive surgeries to children in need through his Surgeon’s Touch Foundation, and has been named to America’s Best Doctors, received a Compassionate Patient Award, teaching awards and more, including appearing on the TV show Atlanta Plastic” “.
Dr. Jones attributes his success to his Christian faith and his parents.
