Gabriel Ochieng v. Mbaruka Selemani
Charter Hall in Nairobi – March 5, 2022
Gabriel Ochieng (20-8-1, 15 KOs) may have lost his last fight against Ghana star Joseph “King Kong” Agbek, but the Kenyan veteran believes he still has something to give in the ring.
So on March 5 at Charter Hall in Nairobi he will return to fight for the vacant title of Universal Boxing Organization U (UBO) All-Africa Super Legalweight, in the main event of the card promoted by Aememax Boxing Promotions.
The former international UBO lightweight champion will meet the undefeated Tanzanian Mbaruk Selemani (5-0-2, 5 KOs) who has power in both hands to be a dangerous task.
Ochieng has a long history of great battles against Tanzanian rivals. In 2011, he lost by former IBO world champion Mbwan Matumla for the UBO intercontinental title, and in 2016 he did not go into the cards against Fadili Mahiha for the WBA title in Africa.
In 2018, he was on the winning side when he stopped Ramadani Kumbele to win the UBO International title, and now he is aiming to do the same with Selemani, even his championship point against the Tanzanians, and win his second UBO belt.
