Hamish Watson of Scotland dropped out of France against Covid-19 · The42

SCOTLAND SHOCKED a serious setback ahead of Saturday’s six-nation home match against France when Hamish Watson was ruled out due to a positive test on Covid-19.

“Scottish winger Hamish Watson has returned a positive test for Covid and will not play in a six-nation match against France on Saturday 26 February,” the Scottish Rugby Union said in a statement.

Nick Heining from the back row of Edinburgh moves to the starting lineup XV and will play on the blind side, and Rory Darge moves to the position of open flanker.

Andy Christy of the Saracens has been drafted into the 23rd round match and will make his Scottish debut when he comes out of the reserves at Murrayfield.

Two members of the Scottish backstage team also gave a positive result on Covid and will be isolated as recommended by the Scottish Government, the SRU said in a statement.
