People attending a street carnival in Los Angeles ran after hearing the loud roar of an SUV that drove through the fair, injuring six attendees, California police said.

“This blessing so that no one is seriously injured,” Sgt. The Los Angeles Times said Robert Leary of the Los Angeles Police Department. Six people aged between 30 and 50 were taken to hospital, but none of them are life-threatening.

The hit happened near Trinity Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, police told KTLA. After that, the driver left in a white Porsche Cayenne SUV.

Hundreds of people at the carnival in the South Central neighborhood reported hearing a loud boom that sounded like gunshots, sending screaming attendees running for cover.

A vehicle matching the description of the SUV was found nearby, but police keep looking for the driver, KTTV reports.
