Game preview Kansas vs Oklahoma
Why Oklahoma wins
Cowboys have been playing not so bad lately.
A few days ago, they came out with a strong performance in the victory over Oklahoma and destroyed West Virginia. Yes, they lose too much, but again, they’re not all what awful.
They hit well, they’re strong in defense when they come up with great games – lots of interceptions and lots of blocks – and they get to the free throw line.
Kansas can be fantastic, but it can be beaten with a hot shot.
Oklahoma needs to move the ball better than it did in the first meeting – a 74-63 loss in early January – and it needs to get to the edge. Kansas 2-3 against teams that take 50% or better off the field, but …
Why Kansas will win
This is one tough climb for Oklahoma.
Overall it’s a good shooting team and it can score a few points on the transition, but it’s not a strong attacking force and it only gets off the field three times by 50% or better.
Cowboys do almost nothing on the outside, and with all the great defensive games they do, they turn the ball upside down too much.
Kansas won for the first time with relative ease, though it wasn’t his usual face off the field. It’s one of the best shooting teams in the country both inside and out, and it needs to be able to get around the cowboys – no matter how simple it sounds – by making more shots.

What will happen
Kentucky is the only team to get Kansas at the home of Alain Field, and it only happened before it dominated the boards and was dominant from the field.
Be shocked if the Jayhawks aren’t tougher against Oklahoma this time, and be shocked if they don’t score at least +10 on the rebound.
