Why Ohio will win
Over the past few weeks, the “Parties” may have experienced difficult moments, but the defense was great – allowed to score less than 70 points in five of the last six games – and all with relatively good shooting.
Lately it’s been a painfully inconsistent team of three, but in Illinois outside it was even harder. Even though Ohio was eliminated from three – a recent game from Iowa excluded – things weren’t so bad. Illinois, on the other hand, doesn’t give enough triples, even if it bombs far.

Ohio, despite all the good things it does in defense, doesn’t force the masses to destroy.
There’s no ton of pressure and no rebounds to go along with defensive stops.
It’s a good team that picks up, but Illinois dominates the boards.
Illinois is ranked second in the top ten and 14th in the country in rebounds, and they should be able to bring order if Ohio isn’t very good off the field – especially if it’s fighting outside.

What will happen
Illinois returned home.
With the exception of a double loss in overtime from Purdue, Illinois owned the assembly hall, winning 11 of 13 games – the only loss was № 2 Arizona.
It’s all about the percentage of shooting for Ilyina. They are 17-0 if they reach 43% or better, and 2-7 if they are not.
Only nine teams were able to get 43% in Ohio’s defense. Illinois – thanks to his game from the inside – will be the tenth.
