Report: Suspect in stabbing death of Buckhead grandmother

A Fulton County grand jury has indicted the man accused in the stabbing death of Buckhead resident Eleanor Bowles.

In accordance with Atlanta Journal-ConstitutionAntonio Markwavis Brown, 23, is charged with aggravated murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, armed robbery and elder abuse.

Bowles, 77, was found by her son in the garage of her boarded-up public house on December 10. Investigators believe the grandmother stopped Brown from trying to steal her car. After being caught on surveillance, Brown was arrested within 24 hours.

Before the murder, Brovka was allegedly intoxicated and stole a bottle of vodka from a nearby wine and vodka shop. His list of arrests is extensive, including aggravated assault, shoplifting and disorderly conduct.

Eleanor Bowles, 77, was killed on December 10, 2022, at her home in Buckhead.
