Boston College: BC is looking for candidates to participate in the 2022 Boston College football internship program. Qualified candidates will be able to work with football strength and conditioning staff. Required qualification: current CPR / AED certification; completing or currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in exercise or a related field. Other desirable qualifications include certification (s) from CSCCa or NSCA, previous coaching experience (s), experience in student sports, and knowledge of Microsoft Office. This is a free 2-month internship with a possible invitation to stay for the fall semester if successful and desired. Applicants will also have the opportunity to earn the accredited internship hours required for SCCC certification through the CSCCa. Again, this is an unpaid position, so if this is an economically unprofitable option, please do not apply. Dallas Baptist University: DBU is looking for an ambitious sports coach to fill our open position of assistant coach for graduate students; The post is expected to begin in June 2022. Potential candidates will have the opportunity to work under the coaching staff of the Dallas Baptist University on athletic performance, approved as a teacher of the Collegiate Association of Strength and Conditioning Coaches (CSCCA), and gain valuable hands -in experience with Division I and II Division athletes. The Assistant Postgraduate Coach will have the opportunity to create programs and coach designated DBU sports teams, as well as assist staff in a variety of positions. Note this is a graduate assistant position. This position provides training for a master’s degree at DBU and includes a scholarship as compensation. Applicants must be certified by either the Association of University Strength and Conditioning Trainers (SCCC) or the National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) and have at least one university internship experience to be eligible. Applicants must be committed to serving Christ, our DBU student-athletes, and DBU staff. Applicants must be committed to developing themselves as a specialist in strength and fitness and committed to advancing to the profession of strength and fitness coach. Wagner (FCS – NY): Currently, Wagner College’s sports departments are looking for 2-4 qualified candidates for SUMMER 2022 who will work directly with Sports Performance staff from mid-May to the end of July and possibly later as needed. Prospective trainees will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance, tracking of data and any other responsibilities assigned to staff. Interns will participate in a coaching development program where they will gain real-world work experience working with Football Division 1 as well as men’s and women’s basketball. This is a gratuitous position that can be done to obtain academic credits if necessary. You will have the opportunity to build your professional network and gain valuable tools for career advancement in strength and conditioning through future vacancy or internal promotion recommendations, such as: · Wagner College Sports Performance Training · Wagner College Sports Outcomes Assistant Coach Preferred qualifications include previous coaching experience and / or competitive athletic experience.
