The Liberty County Health Department will host a flu vaccination clinic

HAINESVILLE, Ga. (WSAV) – The Liberty County Health Department is holding a flu vaccination clinic Monday at its Hinesville location.

Vaccinations will be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the health department at 1113 E. Oglethorpe Highway.

Dates are not necessary.

Medicare, Medicaid and most insurance will be accepted. Officials say there will be no out-of-pocket costs for uninsured individuals who get vaccinated at the clinic on Monday.

Health officials recommend the flu vaccine for everyone over six months of age and especially for those at high risk of flu complications.

Approximately two weeks after the flu shot, the vaccine provides protection to the body.

Other local health departments offer the flu vaccine by appointment. Come in here for more information.
