ALBOOKER, NM (KRQE) – This is a quick turn for the men’s basketball team Loba. After beating №22 in Wyoming on Tuesday, UNM will host one of the conference’s other leading teams, Colorado, on Thursday night, and it will be a challenge for Lobas to achieve such a performance.

“We’re young, Colorado is great,” coach Pitin said. “You know, I think Wyoming and Colorado are probably the two best teams in the league. I know that on Thursday we will get a really well-prepared team, a talented team with some really good veterans. ” Tipoff at 7pm on the Pit.

Meanwhile, the women’s team wins over Utah on Wednesday night. The next home match for Lobas against Boise is the senior day. Super seniors Jadin de la Cerda and Antonia Anderson were able to get an extra year thanks to COVID, and they are grateful for how it all turned out. “I can’t even explain how happy I am, you know,” De La Serda said. “I get along with coaches. We all have good relations. I got AT nearby, now a freshman graduate student. So it’s weird. Everyone in this group is amazing people and it’s just fun to be around. ”

UNM and Boise have a tip at 1pm on Saturday.

In other news, Trace Brookler, Trace Brookler, missed the first week of spring training due to COVID-19 and he wants to go out on the field to help his team. Brookler is gaining weight and he wants to gain more. “I love Coach Baker, he did a great job with me,” Brookler said. “Probably I gained about ten pounds in just a few weeks and I will only increase. I’m looking forward to gaining another ten pounds and just being a beast in the trenches. ”

Brookler was second on the team in getting last season, and now that he’s getting bigger, he believes he could be even more versatile for Lobas ’attack. “I just want to be a handyman. You know the tough kandy in the NFL, they can block, they can go for d-linemen pancakes, but they can also catch the seam, they can also catch passes, I’m just trying to do everything I can, all I can. ”

Lobas’ spring practice will continue until early March.

Also, Jackson and Wink fighter Devion Franklin is preparing for his upcoming fight in Ballator # 274. The fight has become natural for Franklin, but now that he is doing it professionally at a high level, he is aiming for the belt. “When I first came to MMA, it wasn’t necessary in order to be a champion, it was easier because I knew I was going to have it good,” Franklin said. “But the longer I stayed in the gym and the longer I trained, I wanted to be the best.” Franklin will meet with Saeed Sauma on Saturday at 4pm in Connecticut.
