Valentina Rossi impresses WRT in the Manny-Cours wet test

A one-day test for Rossi in France on Tuesday took place after the first outing with the team to Valencia late last year.

Axis explained that Russia has an intensive test program ahead as it prepares for a double attack on the endurance and sprint stages of the GTWCE.

“It will take 6 to 10 days, depending on how smooth our program is,” he said.

The schedule includes two days of official GTWCE pre-season tests at Paul Ricard on March 7/8.

Axis has expressed satisfaction with Rossi’s test program as he prepares for his first full season of car racing since leaving MotoGP late last year.

“Everything is going the right way, the Many-Cours test went well,” he said.

“We set one goal after another: the first is to get Valentin on speed, and then make sure he is ready for the start of the season.

“The third is to get on the podium, and then anything beyond that is a bonus.”

Axis has confirmed that Rossi’s teammates at his GTWCE will be Audi factory drivers.

“Valentine will have one rider for all 10 races, and another will join five endurance competitions,” he explained.

The identity of Russia’s management partners in 2022 has already been determined, and is likely to be announced before Ricardo’s test next month.

Last week, Rossi said in an interview published by the WRT that he is aiming for the podium in his first GTWCE season.
