A buck was released from a woman’s garage after it wandered inside and got stuck, according to Arkansas city officials.

City of Benton on Tuesday, Nov. 15, shared a Facebook video of an animal control officer’s close encounter with a deer.

“I think she may have seen something she thought was a deer, she heard a noise that was a raccoon, something like that, but yeah,” Joseph Mills, Animal Control Officer Benton, said KARK. “We went in and there’s an 8-point sum in the garage.”

The video begins with Mills grabbing one of the deer’s antlers, helping to free it from the rack.

Buck then stood in front of the parked car and even opened the refrigerator door.

“You’re drunk, go home,” the woman is heard saying as the frightened deer stood almost motionless in front of the car.

Described by Benton officials as a “huge buck,” the creature was eventually freed and escaped “relatively unharmed.”

Mills told KARK that this is probably the only time he will ever “pet a wild buck.”

Benton is about 25 miles southwest of Little Rock.
