On Monday, US Senator Raphael Warnock’s campaign reported another successful fundraiser.
Warnock, Ga., raised more than $26.3 million during the third quarter of this year, easily eclipsing the $17.2 million his company brought in in the second quarter.
“There is undeniable momentum in Georgia to re-elect Reverend Warnock to the US Senate, and tens of thousands of grassroots donors are helping push our campaign across the finish line in November,” said Quentin Fulks, Warnock’s campaign manager.
During July, August and September, Warnock received donations from more than 340,000 individual donors. The company reported $13.7 million in cash as of Sept. 30.
Republican Herschel Walker, Warnock’s opponent, had not disclosed the results of his latest fundraising campaign as of Monday. Candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate have until Oct. 15 to file third-quarter fundraising reports with the Federal Election Commission.
Walker, a former University of Georgia football star, reported raising nearly $6.2 million in April, May and June.
Walker also received some help from the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), the official arm of the Republican Senate campaign.
In a tight Georgia state Senate race among the handful that could decide whether Democrats retain control of the Senate, the NRSC is launching an attack ad against Warnock.
