Alexander Albon ready to return to the race Formula 1 in 2022 after the opening Williams race‘s FW44 earlier this week.
The Thai driver has served the 2021 season Red Bull Race decided to replace him with a Mexican racer Sergio Perezand Elbon was assigned to the role of substitute racer on the team from Milton Keynes.
He did take part in a partial campaign on a German basis DTM series in a supported Red Bull Ferrari to stay active and he was chosen by Williams as a replacement Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One team related George Russell for 2022.
Albon says the new car looks good, but before the debut of the race in Bahrain next month it will be important to minimize track time in testing.
“FW44 livery is clean and simple,” Said Albon. “I like that we went for more blue with a dynamic diamond finish and a bit of red; it looks really good and I look forward to seeing it along the way.
“The upcoming track session in Barcelona will focus on making sure we use our time effectively to make the most of the competitive package of the season. We don’t have many days before our first race, so we need to quickly understand which parts of the car are strong and where we need to make improvements. “
Albon says that every driver and team will be on a cool training as everyone adapts to the new rules of aeronautics and tires of the 2022 season, but preparing for the new campaign will still have the same goals as before – to be as fast. as you possibly can!
“I’m sure it will be a small learning curve as we all try to learn how to get the most out of the new rules, but the goals and the way we focus on this car are very similar to previous years.” he said.
“After all, we’re still trying to get around the race car as soon as possible.”
