Since the Yamaha Aerox 155 MotoGP Edition was a limited series scooter, there is a chance that it may not be re-launched in the country any time soon.
A few months ago, Yamaha Motor India announced the launch of a new Aerox 155 MotoGP motorcycle in the country. Now the company has said that the scooter is completely sold out in the country. Since the MotoGP model was a limited series, there is a possibility that it may not be re-launched in the country any time soon.
The limited-edition Aerox 155 series featured Monster Energy’s iconic graphics on its MotoGP racing cars. With the exception of external changes, the scooter shared mechanical and functional parts with the standard model. It is currently available in three body colors, namely black metallic, racing blue and gray, all of which are sold at retail in ₹1.32 lakhs (former showroom).
The Yamaha Aerox 155 is powered by a 155-hp liquid-cooled engine, a single-cylinder YZF-R15 engine that comes with Yamaha’s patented Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology. The engine is designed to develop a maximum power of 14.79 horsepower and 13.9 Nm of torque. Some of the key features of the scooter include fully LED headlights and taillights, a smart motor-generator for silent start, ABS, a side rack shutdown system and a Bluetooth-enabled LCD display. It also rides on large 14-inch alloy wheels, making it a good car to drive.
Meanwhile, Yamaha Motor India also recently announced price increases for its motorcycles and scooters in the country, and the latest price increase also includes the new Aerox 155 motor scooter. After the latest price increase, the R15-based scooter has become expensive ₹2000
