No active shooting at Bibb County schools Wednesday.
MACON, Ga. (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County School District is warning the community that there was no active shooting at Bibb County schools on Wednesday.
The school district says it’s aware of popular phone calls and social media threats from active shooters at schools across the state and the Southeast
In an email, the school district said the following:
“Please note that there were NO ACTIVE SHOOTERS at Bibb Schools today. We take the safety of our students and staff very seriously and are actively working with Campus Police, the Department of Safety and Security, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the Macon-Bibb Emergency Management Agency, and the Georgia Emergency Management Agency and Homeland Security throughout this development of the situation. We appreciate your support and understanding.”
