The sun returns Tuesday afternoon – 41NBC News

MACON, Ga. (41NBC/WMGT) – Clouds will give way to sunny conditions Tuesday morning after rain.

S ThB

It was a wet morning in Middle Georgia as strong storms loomed at sunrise. Fortunately, there were no strong storms in the region. Conditions will clear as we head in the afternoon. Highs will reach the low to mid 70s early over much of the region (around noon) before cooling off the rest of the day. However, in some areas of Middle Georgia, the sun may return only after 3-4 p.m. Winds will gradually increase during the day, becoming northwest 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Winds will only pick up tonight, but will peak at midnight. Sustained speeds will not change significantly, but gusts up to 30 mph may develop from the NNE. The night will be clear throughout the region, which means that the heat left over from the last couple of days will return to the sky. This will allow conditions to become quite cold by Thursday morning. Low temperatures across much of Middle Georgia will hover around freezing, with wind chills dropping into the low 30s in some places.

Forecast for 7 days at 11 30
